Joyful Patterns

This 2 day drop-in workshop was held at the Young V&A, Bethnal Green. Inspired by the mosaic floor in the centre of the Young V&A, Joyful Patterns explored recreating mosaic tiles on card.

We created a card template of the floor pattern, which could be collaged with different materials to build up a textured surface. The works created, as well as the process of collaboration and collective making, is part of wider research and development which will inform an object for the Young V&A Material’s Library.
