Dementia-Friendly Workshops

In collaboration with artist Katie Spragg (www.katiespragg.com), Jessica Insley (Curator of the V&A’s Gilbert Collection) and Holly Power (Senior Producer for Audience Outreacht) this was a series of 3 workshops, for participants living with dementia and their carers.

They were invited to the V&A for a handling session with a selection of Gilbert Collection gold boxes, followed by two creative workshops led by Katie Spragg and myself. Everyone had the opportunity to make their own ‘gold’ memory box, exploring pattern and decoration through clay.
