V&A Open Studios

The V&A Open Studios are monthly events, enabling the public to visit and engage with resident artists in the museum’s on-site studios. Open Studios give the opportunity to discuss our processes and practices and run activities with the public.

During these events I explored collaboration and participation in different ways, running activities everyone could drop-by and join in.

These included one-off events such as making seed-balls to spread wildflowers and exploring memories through desserts as part of July’s Friday Late. I also ran communal clay sessions more regularly, whereby people were invited to create clay additions for a shared platter. These large plates were fired and then went on to be used in further workshops to lay out food, such as those with family organisation NOVA.

A huge thank you to the Open Studio volunteers, who assist us with these events monthly!
