Make, Wish, Celebrate!
2025
I designed and delivered Make, Wish, Celebrate! as part of the V&A Families programming. It was a series of drop-in sessions, open to the public and ran a total of 4 times over the year.
The sessions each had 3 zones, exploring themes of care, craft and collective making. Sessions were held in The Raphael Court, meaning strict material restrictions existed. This created an opportunity to think outside of my usual clay practice, and more broadly engage with themes in my work.
The Wishing Well: Families were invited to create colourful tissue flowers to help decorate the Wishing Well, to bring colour and joy into the space.
The Wishing Coins: Families were invited to create their own wishes coins, by drawing/writing their wishes onto embossing paper. They could then make their wish in the well.
The Quilt Circle: Families were invited to relax in the space and explore quilting, by creating patches that held joyful memories.
