A Family of Jellies

This one-day event was part of the V&A’s Spring Family Festival.

Prior to the day, I had press-moulded 3 full-scale jelly stools. Families were then invited to take part to decorate the seats using coloured clay and pattern-making techniques. This was a further exploration into engagement with craft, and ways of participation that can begin with the making of collective objects.

The Quilted Jelly stools are included as functional and participatory objects in the exhibition On Display; more information can be found here.
